Senior Accountant
Responsibilities:
Handle daily cash/bank transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash/bank receipts and disbursements
Manage deposits, withdrawals, and payment instruments (e.g., issuing checks, processing wire transfers), ensuring the security of funds
Review, process, and book employee reimbursement requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate expense documentation
Accurately maintain cash and bank transaction journals
Reconcile bank accounts daily, identifying and resolving discrepancies
Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely collections and payments, including reconciliation with General Ledger (GL) accounts
Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation records
Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts, following up on outstanding balances with customers and vendors
Prepares journal entries for routine transactions. (Closing and Adjusting entries)
Prepare accounting schedules (e.g. loan schedule, impairment & depreciation schedule, Lease assets schedule,) for quarterly and yearly closing
Prepare consolidated financial statements and related footnotes
Assist the Controller in tasks related to SEC filings, including supporting the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K reports
Assist in audit preparations, including coordinating and providing documentation for audit sampling tests and other audit-related inquiries
Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed to ensure sufficient liquidity
Coordinate with operating departments to ensure data accuracy and provide financial support as needed
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support the financial operations of the business
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business degree and related accounting experience. 2+ year experience is required
Proficiency in QuickBooks, with experience in AR/AP, expense booking, bank data entry, prepare consolidation FS and familiar with SEC filings (10-Q,10-K)
Experience in preparation and assisting business audit and SEC Filings
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
Highly dependable, with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks. Ability to take initiative and see tasks through to completion
Fluency in written and oral Mandarin Chinese is a must
Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus
