Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily cash/bank transactions, ensuring accuracy in cash/bank receipts and disbursements

  • Manage deposits, withdrawals, and payment instruments (e.g., issuing checks, processing wire transfers), ensuring the security of funds

  • Review, process, and book employee reimbursement requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and accurate expense documentation

  • Accurately maintain cash and bank transaction journals

  • Reconcile bank accounts daily, identifying and resolving discrepancies

  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), ensuring timely collections and payments, including reconciliation with General Ledger (GL) accounts

  • Maintain and update the Fixed Asset register, ensuring accurate depreciation records

  • Perform monthly reconciliation of accounts, following up on outstanding balances with customers and vendors

  • Prepares journal entries for routine transactions. (Closing and Adjusting entries)

  • Prepare accounting schedules (e.g. loan schedule, impairment & depreciation schedule, Lease assets schedule,) for quarterly and yearly closing

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and related footnotes

  • Assist the Controller in tasks related to SEC filings, including supporting the preparation of 10-Q and 10-K reports

  • Assist in audit preparations, including coordinating and providing documentation for audit sampling tests and other audit-related inquiries

  • Prepare and maintain cash flow analyses as needed to ensure sufficient liquidity

  • Coordinate with operating departments to ensure data accuracy and provide financial support as needed

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support the financial operations of the business

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business degree and related accounting experience. 2+ year experience is required

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks, with experience in AR/AP, expense booking, bank data entry, prepare consolidation FS and familiar with SEC filings (10-Q,10-K)

  • Experience in preparation and assisting business audit and SEC Filings

  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tasks

  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments

  • Highly dependable, with a strong work ethic and a proactive approach to tasks. Ability to take initiative and see tasks through to completion

  • Fluency in written and oral Mandarin Chinese is a must

  • Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards is a plus
